Obituary for William John McCall

William John McCall
1959 – 2019

It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Husband and Father, Son and Brother (William) John McCall. He is survived by his wife Sherrill, sons Kyle (Spenser) and Thomas (Patricia Lee-Kim), Mother Margaret and Father Alexander (predeceased 2014) and Sisters Heather (Rob Thirkill), Maureen (Flip McKee) and Lorna (Jesse Oshell). Loved Uncle and Brother in-law to many other Brothers, Sisters, Nephews and Nieces.
Born to Margaret and Alexander McCall, he was the first child on either side of the family to be born outside of Scotland. Growing up and living in Sudbury Ontario, John, ever social, lived a tremendous and full life always surrounded by family and life-long friends.
He was always generous with his time and loved spending it with others. Fond of adventures, he was well travelled, but enjoyed exploring his own front yard the most, with his wife by his side.
As an engineer, he worked for several mining companies in the basin. His creativity, aptitude for solving problems, and ability to get straight to the point garnered him the respect of his peers and colleagues.
His humour, generosity, compassion, and quick wit will be missed by all that knew him.
We wish you peace as you embark on the next adventure. Thank you for all the great memories, we will miss you forever, and will always remember you in our hearts.
