In Loving Memory of
Percy Edward (Bud) MacDonald
May 2nd, 1937 – Peacefully March 9th, 2019 at Health Sciences North, with loving family at his side.

Beloved husband of Joan (Woods) MacDonald. Loving father of Greg (Dawn), and Mark (Jodi). Cherished grandfather of Payton, Holly, Bowen, and Brady. Dear son of Rory and Edith MacDonald both predeceased. Dear brother of Margaret Pollock (Ken predeceased), Jack (Jean) both predeceased, Noline “Mickey” Sheppard (Bud) both predeceased, Jim, Ron (Jackie) both predeceased, Marian Newstead (Bunny) both predeceased, Katie Kettlewell (Bill), Laurine MacQueen predeceased (Murray)(Debi), Doris Frederick (Bob), Lorne (Karen), Judith Grieve (John), Janice, Allan predeceased (Linda), and stepsisters Ellen (Eric), and Rhoda (Hub), all predeceased. Brother in law of John (Betty) both predeceased, Bill Woods (Anne), and Betty Abrahamson. He was blessed with many nieces and nephews.

Bud was blessed to be a member and elder of Calvin Presbyterian Church. He was an ex-serviceman in the Royal Canadian Navy, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 for over 40 years. He was also involved with Manitoulin & North Shore Veterans alumni. In his younger years, he joined Admiral Mountbatten Naval Cadets, spending five years on the ship H.M.S. Bonaventure. After coming home, he was hired at INCO as Material Co-ordinator until his retirement. Bud loved life, and enjoyed his grandchildren immensely. Bud was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with local events. He enjoyed his afternoon snoozes while reading his paper, and watching TV.

Many thanks to 4N Palliative Care at HSN and the Regional Cancer Center for their support and care. Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation, Calvin Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

This is a message I think Bud would want us to hear... When Tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name , and took me by the hand. The angel said my place was ready, in Heaven far above, and that I have to leave behind those I dearly love. But when I walked through Heavens gate, I fell so much at home, for God looked down, smiled at me, and told me Welcome Home. So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart ❤️ RIP Buddo. We will miss you and think about you everyday .
