90 years
Peacefully on Sunday, February 17th, 2019 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
Beloved husband of 67 years to Fleurette Laforge (née DesRivieres). Loving father of Rick Laforge (Kathryn) and Suzanne Desloges (Dave). Cherished grandfather of Julie Aubé (Rick), Stephanie Chenier (Mitch) and great grandchildren Nina Aubé, Emma Aubé, Sophie Chenier and Jacob Chenier. Dear son of Donat and Merina (née Chaloux) Laforge both predeceased. Dear brother of Art Laforge of London, Ont, Lil Gallant of Arthur, Ont and brother in law of Pauline Laforge of Sudbury, Ont. Predeceased by his brothers Maurice, Norm, Robert and his sister Lucille. Gerard worked as a welder at INCO for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He loved all sports and was an avid and passionate golfer. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 40 years. The family would like to thank all the staff of the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their excellent care and support.
