Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7th, 2019
at Finlandia Village.
Beloved wife of John “Jack” Hunt predeceased in 2000. Loving mother of David (Jean), Brian (Carolyn), Maureen, Patrik (Jennifer Wilson), Margaret Sylvestri (Don), Daniel (Carole), Catherine predeceased (Kal Lee), Michael and Anne Marie. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Chusa Gines. Cherished grandmother of Alexander, Gabriel, Dylan (Vanessa), Alison (Jean-François), Laura (Eric), Natasha, Dario, Adam, Nicholas (Brittany), Kyle, Meghan (Pearce), Samuel, Colin, Julia, Genviève and James and great grandmother of Leo and Willa. Predeceased by her parents William and Margaret McGunity (nee Ruddy). Dear sister of Clarence predeceased (Jean), Doreen Lund predeceased (Art), Evelyn Wren (JF predeceased), Anna Egan (Tom), Doris McGuire (Barry) both predeceased, Patsy Warren (Doug) and Peggy Radke (Isidore predeceased) and sister-in-law of Irene McCarthy, Hilda Valiquette (Ali predeceased), Jim Hunt (predeceased), Michael Hunt (Kay) both predeceased, Patsy Hunt predeceased and Louise Bradley (Howard). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Theresa was a devout Catholic and was a longtime parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. She was a past member of the CWL and Legion of Mary. She enjoyed baking and made delicious bread, buns, tea biscuits and pies. She also enjoyed watching hockey and was a Sidney Crosby Fan. Theresa enjoyed Irish music and step dancing, and fulfilled one of her dreams travelling to Ireland later in her life. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She was a gentle and kind hearted lady and she will be dearly missed.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff at Finlandia Village who provided Theresa with exceptional care and comfort.
