It was my honour and privilege to visit with Edna in her apartment. We talked and talked and laughed. I would like to share a few stories from those visits. I hope they will convey Edna's "special-ness". I will treasure her in my heart always. On day in May of last year, I complimented Edna on how young she looked. She was so cute. Almost blushing. I asked what her secret was. She replied, "No Smoking, No drinking, No men." How I laughed. And then she laughed. She continued on and said, "Yes, people ask me how I keep my carpets so clean and I tell them. No Cats, No dogs, No men!" Hahaha. I howled with laughter. again. It was precious. I told her I was going to write her words of wisdom down so I wouldn't forget them and that I was going to share them and she would be famous. She was so proud. On another visit last year in June, she was eating her egg sandwich and she sighs and says, "Me Oh My, Small Fry". I laugh at her cuteness and she is so proud of her little "saying". Again, I tell her I must write her saying down so I don't forget it and so I can share it with everybody and she will be famous. Thank you Gary and Lynda and Jocelyne for sharing your "famous" mother with me. You and your families will never be without her because she will be everywhere and that will be your consolation.
