Peacefully Thursday January 31, 2019, at Extendicare York with loving family at her side.
Beloved wife of Jaakko Hellberg predeceased 2006. Loving mother of Esko (Sherry), Maarit De Marco (Frank), and Jorma (Tracy). Cherished Mumma to Devon, Jesse, Jenny, Danica, Raija, Jari, Karita, and great grandchildren Jaxton and Jayven. Dear daughter of Oskar and Saima Makynen predeceased. Dear sister of Muisto Makynen and Lilja Hiiemaa and predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Marjatta will be remembered for her generosity and kindness to all she met. Her beautiful smile will be treasured by all who knew and loved her. The focus of her life was her loving family, and she was happiest when in their company.
A celebration of her life will be held in the
Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home
233 Larch Street, Sudbury
Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 from 4pm-8pm
with prayers and words of remembrance at 7:30pm Tuesday.
Interment in the family plot at the Waters Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Abundant Life Church would be appreciated.
