April 22, 1933 - January 3, 2019

Passed away in the loving care of the Maison McCulloch Hospice caregivers, her sons and dear friends in Sudbury, Ontario on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Beloved wife of 56 years to Walter who she loved, cherished and cared for through their blessed life together. Loving Mother to Paul Quaiattini (Susan), Gordon Quaiattini (Sylvie), and Thomas Quaiattini (Margaret). Wonderful Grandmother (Nana) to Perry, Benjamin, Noah, Katrina, and Tristan. Predeceased by her dear brother Dr. Edward Sowa of Toronto and loving parents Michael and Pauline Sowa of Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Adele was committed to her family, many beloved friends and her life long career in nursing, education and serving Ontario’s and Sudbury’s Health Care Communities in numerous voluntary roles. During her career at Cambrian College (serving as the Chair of the School of Health Sciences), Laurentian University, and postings in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the United States, Turkey and Canada, Adele helped shaped policies, programs and educated students too many to count.
