Obituary

Adele J. Quaiattini
April 22, 1933 - January 3, 2019

Passed away in the loving care of the Maison McCulloch Hospice caregivers, her sons and dear friends in Sudbury, Ontario on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Beloved wife of 56 years to Walter who she loved, cherished and cared for through their blessed life together. Loving Mother to Paul Quaiattini (Susan), Gordon Quaiattini (Sylvie), and Thomas Quaiattini (Margaret). Wonderful Grandmother (Nana) to Perry, Benjamin, Noah, Katrina, and Tristan. Predeceased by her dear brother Dr. Edward Sowa of Toronto and loving parents Michael and Pauline Sowa of Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Adele was committed to her family, many beloved friends and her life long career in nursing, education and serving Ontario’s and Sudbury’s Health Care Communities in numerous voluntary roles. During her career at Cambrian College (serving as the Chair of the School of Health Sciences), Laurentian University, and postings in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the United States, Turkey and Canada, Adele helped shaped policies, programs and educated students too many to count.

Sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your wife, mother and grandmother. I remember Mrs. Quaiattini well as she taught us while in the nursing program at Cambrian College. She stood out for her devotion to the profession with very high standards. She was always so beautifully attired. Caroline (Murray) Przybysz, Nursing class of 1983

So sorry I wasn't able to attend funeral. She was like a second mother to me growing up. As with many, I'm sure, she was a wonderful mentor.

This is such sad news. It feels like I just saw your Mom last week doing groceries and she had a smile for all. Our condolences on your loss, gents, and prayers that God helps you find peace sooner than later.
