Pasquale (Pat) Celestino Niro
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful death of Pat Niro at the Maison McCulloch Hospice in the morning of December 26, 2018. Born in Castel Campangano, Caserta, Italy, Pat came to Canada in 1961 with his family. Cherished son of Antimo (predeceased) and Michelina Niro (nee Marcuccio). Brother to Celestino (Shelley) and Tony (Kathy). Loving father to Bobby Lavoie (Bonnie), Sylvie Colbey (Paul), Shane Nelson (Megan) and Natalie Niro (Marc). Pat took great joy in his grandchildren Kurtis, Brenen, Bennett, Mackenzie, Danika, Byron, Dylan, and Karma J. Uncle to Naoga, Stella (predeceased) Maggie, David, and Raven. Pat leaves behind many friends and extended families at Lake Penage, hunting camps throughout the north, at Anmar, and the Grossi farm to name a few. We know that they were dear to his heart.
The family wishes to extend many thanks and Blessings to the staff, volunteers and friends at the HSN Cancer Center, HSN Palliative care and the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury, Saturday December 29th. 2018 at 10:30am. (Friends may gather at the church after 10am Saturday and are welcome at a reception at the Caruso Club after Mass). Interment in the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
