In loving memory of Raymond William Morgan, of Sudbury, Ontario, who passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Husband of Catherine Anne (Scott) Morgan (predeceased). He was the oldest son of Raymond Morgan and Lucille (Laforest) Morgan, both predeceased. Brother of Brian (predeceased), Peter, Sandra (predeceased), Robert (predeceased), Diane, Terry, William, and Kevin. Loving father of John and partner Melissa Dufoe, Raymond and his wife Imee (Magno) and James and his wife Marcia (Callaghan). Caring grandfather of Ryan, Caylin (mother Carmil Goupil), Baylie, Abigail, Maria, Stephen, Joseph, Isabelle and Raymond Jr.

Warmly remembered by many friends, relatives and loved ones, Raymond William Morgan was born on March 7, 1937 and grew up in White River Ontario. Later, he married, started a family and then called Dowling his home for over 25 years, where he readily served his family and community. Ray worked at Falconbridge and was involved with Mine Rescue. He volunteered his time with numerous associations, serving as president of Dowling Minor Hockey, as Winter Carnival Chairperson, as a Volunteer Fireman and as a parish Eucharistic minister to name a few. He also served as Councillor for 3 terms on the Onaping Falls regional government. He enjoyed playing sports and volunteered as a coach in both minor hockey and softball. His commitment to his community ensured that his wife and 3 sons always received a friendly welcome by all they met in their home town of Onaping Falls. He loved to sing and passed his love of music onto his family. Ray was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, and a man of deep faith in Our Lord. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff on the 8th floor at Health Sciences North for their dedication and exceptional care.

Eternal rest grant unto Raymond O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street in Sudbury. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday December 5th between the hours of 2pm and 5pm and again from 7pm to 9pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church at 68 Sturgeon Street in Dowling Ontario, Thursday December 6, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment in the Maplecrest Cemetery.
