Obituary for Darryl Clifford Hannah

In loving memory of Darryl Clifford Hannah. Born February 16th, 1964, Darryl passed away suddenly on September 24th, 2018 at Extendicare York. Youngest son of Irene (Spry) and Francis (Paddy) Hannah, both predeceased. Loving brother of Roy (Maureen) Hannah, Dennis (Victoria) Hannah, Frances (Barry Hepting) Cottam and Elizabeth (Guido) Mazza. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Darryl will also be sadly missed by his feline companion Pepe. Darryl was a taxi driver for many years. He was well-known for his gift of gab and his wit while interacting with his passengers as he was very well versed in world events due to his passion of reading current events and his love of sports, especially his beloved Leafs. In the latter part of his career, he was also a dedicated taxi dispatcher having been hailed as one of the best in the industry. There will be no visitation. Cremation will be followed by a service on October 13th, which will be held at Coldsprings Cemetery, Manitoulin Island where he will be laid to rest with his mother and father. Many thanks to the staff at Extendicare York for their compassion and friendship to both Darryl and his family. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to Lougheed Funeral Home.
