Patricia Louise McOrmond
The family announces with sorrow her passing on Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at the Sudbury Health Sciences North. Pat was 77 and was born in London, Ontario. Daughter of Patrick & Dorothy Maloney both predeceased, beloved wife of Robert (Bob) McOrmond (predeceased); mother of Christina (predeceased), Russell (Rina), James (Josee); sister of Michael Maloney (predeceased) (Cathy), Barbara Maloney (Brent), Kathy Leduc (Omer), Susan Maloney (Bill), Maureen Ylitalo (Ron). Loved by other in laws Ed (Mina) both predeceased, Ken (June) both predeceased, Walter predeceased (Marion), Mildred (predeceased) (Bill), Leonard, Muriel, Charles, Lillian (predeceased) (Neil) and special sister-in-law Hulda. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families. Pat leaves many friends at Finlandia Village where she spent her last few years. Pat and Bob married in June of 1963 at St. Stephen’s on the Hill United Church where they still attended. Throughout her life, Pat was an active member of the Shuniah (Sudbury) Foresters in various positions as well as the National Family Campers and RVers camping all across North America. Pat was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, as well as an active member at T.O.P.S, and active within St. Stephen’s on the Hill. Always a geek, sharing science fiction with her kids, such as Doctor Who and Star Trek. Known for her love of purple, she lived life to the fullest. She leaves a hole in many people’s lives and will be missed.

Interment in the family plot at the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
