Condolence: Over ten years later, I still remember the March break I spent in Maurice’s classroom at Laurentian Driving School. His humour, passion for safe driving, and ability to make learning fun made that week a highlight of the eleventh grade. Getting a licence is a beloved rite of passage for every teenager, and Maurice had a gift for making sure that we took driving seriously, all while making us laugh. I have countless friends who learned to drive from him, and they have nothing but good things to say about him and his family. Who knows how many accidents were avoided, and lives saved, because budding drivers remembered to look for children’s feet between parked cars, or chose to take a cab home if they’d been drinking? I still remember to this day many of the lessons he taught me(with his famous dashboard-mounted camera), along with several generations of young drivers.
I had the pleasure of meeting Elaine, Louise, and Joel through the driving school as well, and their father’s love of life shone through in all of them. Condolences to the Quenneville family: He will be missed.

Condolence: From our family to yours, it is with our sincere thoughts that we send you our deepest sentiments for the moments that shall be missed from such a loving man, Maurice was always such an attentive person when it came to sharing his thoughts and knowledge and his wonderful smile to all who had a need to learn from him.. he could teach with such a patient attitude that you never felt intimidated by learning how to drive a vehicle when you were just a teenager! I say this with experience, cause I was that kid learning from my mistakes, and as the years passed he was able to help our daughter benefit from his experience, so his time spent teaching kids has left us all very grateful to have such a friend behind us during those milestone moments in life! I was so saddened to read about Maurice's passing. His teaching and devotion to safe driving not only led to getting my license, but he helped me develop a level of confidence.
