1933-2018
It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Don Sheppard at the age of 84 years, on Monday, April 2nd, 2018, in the early morning at Health Sciences North.
Beloved husband of 61 years to Theresa (née Doré). Loving father of Lorraine (Rob) Rick, Gail (Dan “Butch”) Guillemette and Mark (Danielle Fournier). Cherished grandfather of Eric (Nicole) Chiasson, Kevin Chiasson (Robert McAfee), Todd Guillemette (Par S.), David Guillemette (Danica Delparte) and Kyle Rick. Adoring great-grandfather of Nadia, Annie, Emile, Ethan, Claudia and Matthew. Also survived by his dear brother Merv (Terri) Sheppard. Predeceased by his parents George and Pearl Sheppard, as well as his sister Helen (Stewart) Paul, and his brother Lloyd (Lalie) Sheppard. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Don was a second degree member of the Knights of Columbus; Counsel 6074. He was also a die-hard “Toronto Maple Leafs” fan. Don touched family and friends with his charming wit and his continued sense of humour ‘til the very end.
We would also like to thank the nursing staff and doctors on the 8th floor for their continuous care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
