Condolence From: Nancy (daughter-in-love)
Condolence: Happy Birthday Daddy-O! I have fond memories of visits to Al and Cindy's on Onaping Lake. The first time I was there we woke up to a bright, sunny morning and Al, Rusty, and I went for a walk around the yard while Cindy was doing her magic in the kitchen - yum! Rusty's orange '71 Charger was gleaming in the sunlight and Al promptly pointed out the license plate to me, which started with EYO... he flashed his hollywood smile and exclaimed, “That's Eager Young Osmond!” One time the four of us went for a picnic to 18-Mile Narrows. It was a great boat ride and I took in all the beautiful scenery of Onaping. I overate at the picnic, easy to do with Cindy's food which was always made with love (I particularly liked her “skaveetch”). Al used to call standing dead trees “chicos”, so years ago Rusty, my hiking buddies, and I began calling them “Al chico”... Al got quite a kick out of that! We have a great, 100-foot “Al Chico” a short distance from our house, easily viewed from our living room and bedroom windows. It overlooks the valley and across to the majestic mountains. For years I've been greeting this sentinel every morning with thoughts of Al. He'll always be commemorated when we come across an “Al chico” along our path, and in many others ways as well. Memories are so precious. We'll be posting more pictures at YourLifeMoments.com (feel free to post some good shots if you have some as well). Al and Cindy were wonderful, loving people, and they are greatly missed, and will be forever loved.
