85 years
Peacefully, Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 at Health Sciences North,
with loving family at his side.

Beloved husband of 49 ½ years to Joyce (Hiscock) Costello. Loving father of William “Bill” Costello (Tina), O.J. Costello (Erin), and Katherine Costello. Cherished son of Wm. Harry and Ezma Jessie (Phillips) Costello both predeceased. Loving brother of Pat MacKinnon and Precious (Ray Lavigne). Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Special godfather to Kelly Ball.

A proud Canadian, Gary served in the Korean War. He was a Past President and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 and held many executive positions, including Zone Sergeant at Arms (4 years) and District Sergeant at Arms (4 years). He was a past president of the KVA Unit 19. He spent 35 years with the Sudbury Spartans and Sudbury Hardrocks Football teams, and 20 years with the Laurentian Voyageurs hockey team. Gary painted the ice for the Sudbury Wolves for 30 years. He was an ardent Blue Jays fan, and a long-suffering Maple Leafs fan. Go Wolves go!

Friday, December 29th, 2017
from 2-5pm with words of remembrance at 2:30pm.
Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gary Costello Bursary would be appreciated.
