In loving memory of Nellie H. Edwards, who passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27th, 2017 at Extendicare York at the age of 97.

Nellie (nee Harvey) was born August 8, 1920 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and married Wesley Emerson Edwards (predeceased 1977) and made a home in Sudbury. Nell worked at McLeod Motors, the General Hospital, and was a long-term volunteer at the Memorial Hospital Gift Shop.

Greatly missed and fondly remembered by her children, Janet Aniol (Vic) and Norman Edwards (Kathy) and by her five grandchildren, Terry, Kerri (Greg), David (Jenn), Bradley (friend Kim), and Andrew (Lauren), along with five great grandchildren, Kayden, Aurora, Jaxon, Carson, and Gus.

Nell is survived by her sisters, Gladys and Shirley, and was predeceased by her parents, Gladys and James Harvey, as well as sisters, brothers, and sisters- and brothers-in-law.

Mom loved her vegetable gardening, African violets, baking, and spending time at the camp on Fox Lake with the family, and was thrilled that each new generation loved it as she did.

Visitation will take place after 11:30am Friday.
Interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery.
