Too soon
Oh Dave VA3NCS,
Your presence is missed so much. You touched me and so many other hams with your voice and personality on the ham radio. NCS aka (N)et (C)ontrol (S)tation was the perfect callsign for you. You provided me with inspiration to carry on during, and after, a terrible illness hit me. I still remember speaking with you for the first time as you did your thing on a Sudbury Net. I finally got up the courage to check in to your 2m net even though I had so much trouble speaking. I was very self conscious and nervous. I practiced what I would say for weeks, you made me feel at ease. Your nets inspired me to keep relearning how to talk. You always sounded cheerful and energetic and that cheered me up too. Your dedication, always being there for a net, are big boots to fill.
Thank you Dave from all of us at the Sudbury Amateur Radio Club and on the VE3 SRRG repeater.
You left us much to soon.
