IRVINE, DR. GEORGE MURRAY - In loving memory of Dr. George “Murray” Irvine, 85 years, who passed away 28th August 2016 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 3rd, 1931 to Arthur and Bethia Irvine, both predeceased. Beloved husband of Christina (Smellie). Loving father of Arthur, Robert (Kate) and Andrew (Veronika). Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Zachary and Jonathon. Murray came to Canada in 1969 with his wife and young family to work as a Psychiatrist at Sudbury General Hospital and later at Health Sciences North, Kirkwood site, before retiring in 2008. Murray’s great interests were in music, theatre and in family life. At Murray’s request, there will be a private family service. Donations to the Sudbury Food Bank would be appreciated.
