Five years ago my husband was very ill and no one was able to diagnose why, until dr ilves came on shift my husband was rushed for surgery and I was told to say my goodbyes in case, I had a 7 month old baby n two daughters at home, i was a wreck.....after what seemed like forever dr ilves came out explained what happened and sat with me until I calmed down and family arrived. He saved my family and I wont ever forget it. He was so sincere during the follow ups and even joked with us, about the scare he gave all of us. I will never forget how he took the time to sit with me holding me and asking if I was okay until family arrived, its exactly what I needed. He was a caring man and doctor. My thoughts are with his family and friends. I will never forget what he did for me and my family.
