Obituary for Svetozar "Steve" Borota

In Loving Memory
of
Svetozar “Steve” Borota
passed peacefully at Health Sciences North on October 26th, 2016, with Eleanor by his side.

He will be sadly missed by Eleanor, his wife of 49 years, his children Milos and Savka, Raymond and the little girl who lit up face, his granddaughter, Sovia. Predeceased by his mother, Savka Borota Vesic, his father, Milan Borota and his loving stepfather, Milos Vesic. Sveto was born in Bovic, Yugoslavia, on November 9, 1938. He and his mother immigrated to Canada in 1953. Steve was a dedicated family man. He will be lovingly remembered by Mico and Maca, Rade and Nada, Bogo and Draga including nieces, nephews and cousins and by his sister-in-law, Mara Kosanovich and her family and many of Eleanor's relatives and their friends in Niagara Falls and Hamilton. Sveto and Eleanor remained close to their Kumovi, the late Vujo Zutich and his wife, Milli. Steve was a master mechanic, starting off his career at Sudbury Motors and later, Crosstown Oldsmobile. He was a lifelong member of the Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church where he forged many good friendships. Steve enjoyed the company of his coffee club friends. Thank you for the visits to our dad and calls to us and other family members. We told him you were thinking of him.
