Condolence From: Anne Plaunt
Condolence: Please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your mother/grandmother. She was a wonderful inspiration for many of us in our journey as members of the Catholic Women's League of Canada. My first contact with Lucille was through the arthritis campaigns where she brought her enthusiasm and encouragement to all of us as we worked towards a common goal. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Sincerely Sincerely, Anne Plaunt

Condolence: Sincere Condolences to Denise/Bob and the Cullen family:
Although the end of your Mother’s life was not entirely unexpected, we know from experience that it is nonetheless difficult to accept and come to terms with. I recall having pleasant conversation with your Mother at special occasions and from conversations/anecdotes that you have shared, your Mother led a full life and was well loved. The obituary highlights the life of a woman of faith as well as her many talents and accomplishments in service to the Catholic community at large. No doubt her legacy will live on through her children and their families.

Condolence From: Shirley Christo
Condolence: The CWL of St John Fisher (SJF) Parish in Bramalea fondly remembers Lucille as their fourth council President from 1967 to 1969. I was very blessed to welcome her to our 35th anniversary celebration and reunion in 1997. She was so inspiring and full of joy as she mingled, nurtured and encouraged our executive officers and members and all present. She had laboriously gone through her files and pulled out numerous newspaper clippings, reports and priceless pictures of those early days of our council and brought them with her to present to our then past- president / historian Jennie Fox. I recall her doing a similar file search when Betty Ann Brown Davidson became national CWL president and then strategizing with her in one of our lengthily phone conversations about how she would get these boxes delivered to her .
Each year subsequent to the event she would seek me out at the provincial and national conventions and always genuinely asked how we were doing at St John Fisher and where was I on my CWL journey? You always felt the warmth and sincerity of her inquiry and enjoyed her presence with you and hearing about her latest CWL project or game.
I have no doubt that her celebration of life tomorrow will be a wonderful testimony of a life well lived. Peace and Prayers for all of Lucille Cullen’s extended family as you adjust to life without her. She will be missed by so many.
