Peacefully on Friday, June 24th, 2016 at the Maison Vale Hospice, Sudbury.

Beloved husband of Gwen Thom of 58 years. Loving father of Scott Douglas Thom (wife Suzie), Bonnie Mae Rodriguez (husband Paul) and Bruce Alexander Thom predeceased (wife Eileen). Cherished Grandpa of Patrick, Anthony, Celina, Darren, Ian and Mark. Dear son of Alec and Emily Thom both predeceased. Dear brother of Isabelle (husband Bill) and Lillian predeceased (husband Jim predeceased). Sandy retired from Falconbridge as an electrician after 30 years of service. He was very involved in the Royal Canadian Legion Br# 503, Onaping for over 60 years and was a Past President 1972-1974. He also enjoyed curling, the Toronto Blue Jays and spending time at the camp on Manitoulin Island. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Health Sciences North and Maison Vale Hospice for their care and compassion.
