Obituary for
Vilho Maki
MAKI, VILHO - After a long life enjoying simple pleasures and relishing the caring people who surrounded him, we said goodbye to Vilho on April 26, 2016 at the age of 95. Although a man of few words, he was known as a gentle soul who could always be counted on to share a quiet chuckle with those who knew him best. A morning coffee, a cold beer, and a cigarette or two (in earlier years) were among the things that made him the happiest.
Vilho will be sadly missed by his special friend and companion Kathy, the caring staff at Evergreen Lodge, the many past and present caregivers at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) and the former North Bay Psychiatric Hospital.
"Family isn't always blood. It is the ones who do anything to make you smile and who love you no matter what!"
Cheers old friend!
A celebration of his life will be held at the NBRHC Chapel, North Bay on Thursday, April 28th, 2016 at 2:30pm.
Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
