Obituary for Franklin Lane Ephraim Snyder

In Loving Memory
of
Franklin Snyder
who passed away at home surrounded by family
after a short difficult battle with cancer at the age of 60.

Born October 28th, 1954 in Timmins, Ontario. Beloved son of Robert and Ruby Snyder. Loving elder brother to Jocelyn Bates (Pat) of Kimberley, BC, Jasmin Lolas (George) of Sudbury and Steven Snyder (Siri) of Coquitlam, BC. Predeceased by his baby daughter Ashley (1994). Special uncle to Brittany, Athena, Chris and Lisa. He was a proud graduate of Waterloo University (mechanical engineering). He worked in the industry until he began his passionate teaching career at Algonquin College. Retiring in 2014, Frank could now do activities he loved such as skating on the Rideau Canal, swimming, saunas, cycling, wood working and doing things with his hands. He took up the violin at the age 50 and added classical music to his other interests (fine wine, tasty food and world travel). A devout member of the Orthodox faith, Frank found spiritual strength right to his final days. We would like to thank Father Maxym (Ottawa), Dr. Jay Mercer (Ottawa) and the Bayshore nurses (Gabby and Eve in Sudbury).
