61 Years
who passed away at Health Sciences North on Monday, March 2nd, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Cherished son of Ernest and Nora Cooper (both predeceased). Loving brother of Ivan (predeceased), Gary, Eugene (Lucy), Albert and Grace (Francis) (both predeceased). Treasured uncle of Rose (Ricky), John, Rachael (Kimball), June, Jeremy (Charlene) and Miranda. Joseph will be sadly missed by his great nieces and nephews, Tanya, Corey (Tiffany), Keesha, Harley, Kallaghan, Michael, Kaiden, Claire and great great nieces and nephews, J’lyn, Conan, Shalya, Aidan, Lilly, Emery, Adriano, Hayven and Colton. He will be deeply missed by his canine companions Leetha, Sandy Grey Eagle and Blackie.
He was instrumental in forming a hockey team (Wiky Hillbillies) in the early 1970’s to the 1990’s with a very strong fan support. He worked for E.B Eddy Forest Products and Wikwemikong Housing. He was avidly into sports when he was younger- softball, recreational football, hiking, hockey, bike riding and volleyball. He continually watched sports on T.V. He was constantly praising younger kids for their accomplishments when trying their hardest and doing everything they could to the best of their ability.
