Beloved wife of Charles Helpert predeceased 1987. Loving mother of Jacqueline (husband Don Rastall) and Robert Helpert (Eva) and daughter in law Rita Helpert. Cherished grandmother of Charles, Mari-Helen (Tom), Robert, Marney (Rick) and Kathy and great grandchildren Lindsay, Mari, Madison, Chelsea predeceased, and Tanis. Dear daughter of George and Berta (Poirier) Turpin predeceased. Dear sister of Dora, Bob, Alfred and Art all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Helen lived a very active life, participating in many worthwhile community projects. She will be remembered as a very generous person who was quick to help others. She had a wonderful sense of humour and an impressive vocabulary which she shared with all she met. Helen was a longstanding and respected member of the Idwylde Golf and Country Club where she enjoyed golfing and cards. She was an accomplished bridge player. Helen lived life on her own terms and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

At Helen’s request there will be no funeral visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SISU Foundation Finlandia Village would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, Sudbury
