Obituary for Jeanne Brenhilda Case (Sobers)

In Loving Memory
of
Jeanne Brenhilda Case (nee Sobers)
83 years
Peacefully and comfortably, Thursday, November 20th, 2014 at Health Sciences North.

Beloved wife of Winslow Case predeceased 2004. Loving mother of Anne Roise, Arlene Case, and David Case. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Roise. Dear daughter of Colvin and Geraldine Sobers. Dear sister of Walter Sobers, Monica Sobers, and Daphne Bispham. Sadly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada, England and the Caribbean.

Jeanne was involved with the Sudbury Multicultural Association, the Church of the Epiphany, and the Afro-Caribbean Association. She worked for the provincial government for over 20 years and was an avid lover of sports, especially athletics and cricket. She had a love of fashion and music and participated in many championship bowling leagues. Most of all, Jeanne loved her family and frequented back to her birthplace of Trinidad every year for the Carnival. Jeanne was a lover of people and was always reaching out to help others in her family and in the community. Jeanne loved to volunteer in the community, from her work with the church to helping to teach immigrants English as a Second Language. She was the life of the room and had an infectious smile that brought joy to many.
