In Loving Memory of Mary “Teresa” (Jones) Hamilton (nee Gagnon) 86 years

Monday, October 27th, 2014 at Trillium Health Partners Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario.

Beloved wife of John Hamilton and Oscar “Beno” Jones predeceased 1968. Loving mother of Carolyn (Wayne Olynick), Stephen Jones (Maureen), Marilyn (Joe Bankowski predeceased), Glen Jones (Sandra), Colleen (David Robicheau), Robert Jones (Tena), Sherry (Patrick Greasley), John Hamilton (Kathryn), Margaret Sutherland (John Newman), Lora Aller and Paula Hamilton (Robert “Slim” Evans predeceased). Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Dear daughter of John Edward and Annie Mae (Fitzpatrick) Gagnon both predeceased. Dear sister of Margaret Gobbo, Grace MacEachern, John Gagnon, and Lorne Gagnon all predeceased and Rita Grolway. Sister in law to Margaret Kingston.

Teresa was a devout Roman Catholic and volunteered many hours, especially to St. Andrew the Apostle Church – including Eucharistic Ministry, CWL, Meals on Wheels, Founding of Christmas food baskets and clothing drives for families in need. She was instrumental in founding the Sudbury Regional Credit Union (now Northridge). She always thought of others before herself. She loved spending the winters in Texas at Fun n Sun Park and was active in St. Theresa’s Parish in San Benito, Texas. Teresa loved knitting as well as making blankets with Swedish weaving.
