Emily Edna McLaren. Nov 3rd, 1938-July 21st, 2014
Emily McLaren passed unexpectedly July 21st, 2014 while enjoying the beauty of Windy Lake in Onaping. She leaves behind loving husband Rae McLaren, cherished daughter Laureen McLaren Coffelt of Memphis, TN and is reunited with her other daughter, Lana Rae McLaren, predeceased July 12th, 1991.
Older sister to predeceased baby Brother Bobby Hrabchak (1953-1955), daughter to Mary and John Hrabchak (predeceased). Emily will be greatly missed by Nick Kovernikow who she provided care for since the passing of her Mother.
She will be missed by the brother and sister to her husband, James McLaren and Mary (Delsie) Soutar.
A Graduate of the University of Toronto, Emily served as a highschool teacher and later retired as a Civil Servant of Revenue Canada after 21 years.
In her retirement, she served as a steadfast volunteer and active member of the Ona-Lac Canoe Club, The Golden Age Club, the Greenhouse in Chelmsford, the Nordic Ski Club, and The United Church in Levack.
No formal visitation or funeral services based upon Emily's request. Her final resting place shall be at the Civic Memorial Cemetery in Sudbury, Ontario alongside her daughter and her mother. Please contact Rae McLaren for further details.
